my surprise breech homebirth story
The day before my daughter's first birthday, I joined Kristin Vasko, the creator and host of BirthNotes podcast to share the story of my daughter's birth. It is my favorite story to tell and it was such an honor to share it with Kristin!
Magnolia's birth was nothing like I had expected (or planned!) but it all came together beautifully in the end. After months of physical and mental preparation for a water homebirth, my daughter flipped during labor and ended in a surprise frank breech delivery on the side of my couch. My labor pushed me to limits I did not expect, and showed me the true power of a mother on a mission.
I also talk a bit about my passion for pelvic floor physical therapy advocacy, the power of intuition, and grieving the birth I had planned for.
